Easter Fest and Easter Sunday Service 2018

Easter Fest was celebrated by our children with loads of fun and games. We prepared 100+ Easter baskets on Saturday and it was delivered to Grandma’s House of Hope that afternoon.

The Easter Message was given by Saji Oommen who dwelt on the topic of Reconciliation. We also had special songs by the Sunday School children and our Choir followed by dinner.



Diocesan Sunday

The Diocesan Sunday (Pulpit Exchange) – Holy Communion service was led by Rev. Liju John, Vicar of Los Angeles Mar Thoma Church, Glendora.



Family Workshop 2018

The Family Workshop was held on January 13, 2018. It was led by Mrs. Preena Mathew, wife of Rev. Mathew Samuel who is the Assistant Vicar at the Mar Thoma Church of Dallas, Farmers Branch. She dwelt on the relationships between spouses in a marriage and between parents and children.


Vacation Bible School (VBS) | Deep Sea Discovery

The Horeb Mar Thoma Church celebrated Vacation Bible School 2016 from Thu, Aug 4-7. The theme for the year whas Deep Sea Discovery where kids dived into God’s Word to see how He has been with His people every step of the way. Hands-on service projects and sea science helped kids experience a VBS adventure like no other



Church Convention & Parish Day 2015

The Horeb Mar Thoma Church joined together for the Convention and Parish day from Oct 2-4, 2015. The speaker for this year was Evangelist Samuel T. Chacko who is a partner with the One Hope Ministries in Bangalore. The theme for this year was The Victorious Christian Life based on John 10:10b

Family Night 2015

The Horeb Mar Thoma Church celebrated Family Night 2015 at the Acker Hall on Sep 19, 2015.



Sevika Sangham Day 2015

The Horeb Mar Thoma Church celebrated the Sevika Sangham day on Sep 13th with a special service alongside the Holy Communion service. Following the service, the Sevika Sangham organized the auction and served dinner for all the attendees.



Church Retreat 2015

The Horeb Mar Thoma Church had its annual retreat for the year 2015 at Camp Wrightwood located at Wrightwood, CA from Sept 4-6 during the labor day weekend. Our main speaker for this year was Rev. Baiju Markose who is currently doing his PhD at Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago. The theme for this year was “Faith-ing Everyday: Channels and Challenges”.



Church Retreat 2015 Promo – Camp Wrightwood

The Horeb Mar Thoma Church is planning for the annual retreat for the year 2015 at Camp Wrightwood located at Wrightwood, CA from Sept 4-6 during the labor day weekend. Our main speaker for this year is Rev. Baiju Markose who is currently doing his PhD at Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago. The theme for this year is “Faith-ing Everyday: Reading Signs of our Time” based on Matthew 16:3. Achen will look at how we apply faith everyday in the context of today’s contemporary issues like culture of anxiety, busyness, consumption, media, etc.
